Davies Sports is inviting all Primary PE educators to attend a new, unique and immersive event that has been heavily subsidised by Davies Sports. With a sole focus on physical education in schools, we've teamed up with some of the leading experts in the UK to deliver a day that will help transform your school into an exceptional space where children can move, socialise and thrive together.

Meet the speakers

Dr Vicky Randall

Dr Vicky Randall

Vicky has worked in education for over 20 years. She was a teacher and subject leader for PE before moving to higher education where she led on educational research. Vicky is a leading expert in primary PE, having published extensively in international texts and academic journals. She has advised the Department for Education (DfE) on primary PE teacher education, the Primary PE and Sport Premium since 2017 and was a founding member of the DfE Expert Subject Advisory Group for Physical Education. She is an honorary member of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on a Fit and Healthy Childhood and Education and a Research Consultant at PE Scholar. Vicky is the lead content creator for PE for Findel lesson and education platform, EuHu.  

Dr Gerald Griggs

Dr Gerald Griggs

Gerald is an esteemed figure in education, with a career spanning over 25 years as a teacher, PE adviser and academic. He is currently the Dean of UCFB, Campus of Football Business in Manchester but remains a globally recognised figure in the field of Primary PE. To date, he has published five books and 40 international peer reviewed journal articles. Gerald’s areas of expertise ranges from sociocultural aspects of sport and primary PE, subject leadership and policy. Gerald has contributed to numerous All Party Parliamentary reports on PE and Play and is a co-content creator for Findel lesson and education platform, EuHu.

Dr Sarah Williams

Dr Sarah Williams

Sarah is a Principal Lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University and Course Leader for PGCE Primary PE. Originally from New Zealand, Sarah’s teaching expertise spans across many areas of Early Years and Primary PE. Her research is situated in understanding how leadership in primary schools impacts upon PE curriculum and teaching. Sarah is integral to PE Sheffield and supports strategic decisions within the Learn Sheffield consortium. With a national reputation as a teacher educator, Sarah has worked with wider national bodies for PE and Sport throughout her career.

Dr Gavin Ward

Dr Gavin Ward

Gavin is a Senior Lecturer in PE at the University of Wolverhampton and leads the Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Research group within the Institute of Sport. Gavin is passionate about decoding sport, for teachers and his students, as a subject matter for learning. His professional curiosity in PE has led to progression from PE teacher and Head of Department roles in schools, to teaching and researching at university.
